Equatara privacy policy

We aim to collect the minimum information needed to operate, secure, and improve Equatara. Basic calculator inputs should remain in your browser wherever practical.

Pre-launch version: 1.0 · Last reviewed: 25 October 2026

Calculator inputs and results

  • Deterministic calculations run in the page where practical.
  • Raw health, income, debt, tax, pregnancy, legal, and other sensitive values must not enter analytics, advertising parameters, routine logs, or error reports.
  • Sensitive values are excluded from share URLs by default; some tools may disable sharing.
  • Reset clears the visible working state. Closing or refreshing the page clears unsaved state unless a calculator explicitly says otherwise.

Information the service may process

At public launch, the service may process basic request and security data, coarse device or country information, page views, calculator start/completion events, generalized validation-error codes, performance events, and explicit contact messages. We do not need the numbers you type to measure whether a calculator works.

Why information is used

  • Deliver pages and calculations
  • Protect the service and diagnose failures
  • Understand aggregate usage and improve usability
  • Respond to corrections, accessibility, privacy, and support requests
  • Meet applicable legal obligations

Information is not used to alter calculator results. Sensitive calculator values are not used for behavioral advertising.

Cookies and local storage

Essential storage may be used for security or requested settings. Non-essential analytics or advertising storage will require the applicable consent controls; refusing or withdrawing it must not block basic calculation. The live policy and consent interface will list active categories before public tracking begins.

Service providers and sharing

Only providers necessary for hosting, security, monitoring, analytics, email, or future payments may receive the minimum data needed for their function. A verified public list will be added before those services are activated. We do not sell raw calculator inputs.

Retention

Security and access logs should be kept for the shortest practical period, initially targeting 30 days. Redacted application errors may need 30–90 days. Contact and correction records are kept through resolution plus a reviewed support-record period. Final periods and backup deletion behavior must be documented before launch.

Your choices and rights

Depending on location and applicable law, users may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, object, withdraw consent, or obtain a copy of personal information. The verified privacy contact channel and instructions will be activated before public launch. Rights requests require proportionate identity verification without collecting unnecessary data.

Security and incidents

We use data minimization, input redaction, access controls, secure transport, and reviewed service providers as applicable. No system is completely secure. A suspected privacy or security issue should use the privacy contact channel once active; incidents are assessed for containment, correction, notification, and prevention.

Children

Equatara is a general-audience calculator service and does not knowingly request accounts or personal profiles from children in the MVP. Public-launch review will define any age-specific notices required by the jurisdictions served.

Changes to this policy

Material changes will update the version and effective date. A public launch cannot occur while operator, processor, retention, contact, consent, and jurisdiction-specific details remain unresolved.
