Corrections

Report a problem with a calculator

If a formula, result, example, source, explanation, or accessibility feature seems wrong, tell us. A clear report helps us investigate quickly.

What to include

  • Calculator name and page URL
  • Type of issue: formula, result, example, source, wording, accessibility, privacy, or technical behavior
  • What happened and what you expected
  • Browser/device and reproducible steps when relevant
  • An authoritative source or precise reference, if available

Protect your privacy: do not send full birth dates, account details, health records, tax identifiers, debt balances, legal documents, passwords, or other sensitive calculator inputs.

We request only the minimum information needed to investigate, redact unnecessary sensitive data, and retain the report through resolution under our support-record policy. A correction report is not a channel for individualized professional advice.

How to send the report

Use the Contact page and label the message “Calculator correction.” The contact channel is established as part of the pre-launch trust-page release; until it is available, the site remains private and no correction form is presented as operational.

What happens next

  1. We log and triage the report based on potential harm and reproducibility.
  2. We reproduce it against the exact calculator and formula version.
  3. Credible urgent risk can trigger immediate disablement, removal from navigation, or noindex.
  4. The responsible formula, editorial, accessibility, or domain reviewer checks the proposed resolution.
  5. We update code, tests, content, and version records together and rerun the release gate.
  6. We append the outcome to the audit history rather than silently replacing prior approval.

Correction outcomes

A report may lead to a content clarification, test or accessibility fix, new formula version, updated source or review date, temporary unpublishing, archival, redirect, or permanent removal. Not every disagreement indicates an error; when assumptions or jurisdiction explain the difference, we improve the explanation where useful.
